I learned the producer profession having my own studios and working on my own companies. That helped me have two important visions of the Job. The first one is the importance to serve to a useful purpose: you need to serve your client’s needs. If it is not useful for your client, it is not useful at all, regardless of the art, the technology and whatever the amazing things you and your team can craft. I learned the producer profession starting my own animation studios and working on my own companies. That helped me have two important visions of the Job. The first one is the importance to serve to a useful purpose: you need to serve your client’s needs. If it is not useful for your client, it is not useful at all, regardless of the art, the technology and whatever the amazing things you and your team can craft. The second one is that you need a team to craft those amazing useful projects. They need to be happy and proud of what they do and they need to feel useful, respected and valued.
For that reason, I think a producer can be more than just a spreadsheet and a budget.
A producer knows where creativity meets technology and where expectations meet feasibility. A producer will make clients feel safe and informed, but a producer won’t lie, even in difficult situations. A producer makes understandable for clients what could be a difficult puzzle, and he/she synthesises useful information among all the technical jungle. A producer anticipates an issue and raises hands to avoid a bigger problem. A producer identifies an opportunity and foresees the space for improvement. A producer manages talent, gets the best from the team and tries to keep them motivated and productive. A producer defends this talent and tries to make their lives happier. A producer is between a Client and the Talent, and needs to understand both worlds so they can serve one another. A good producer is a bond, a link, a bridge. And remember, for a producer, the only God is The Project.
I have an extensive 12+ years of experience in the CG, Animation, VFX and Digital Content Industry. I am a business oriented and strategy minded entrepreneur. I am Senior Producer and Senior Production Manager, full of curiosity, eager to learn, loving the process and willing to serve the projects’ purpose.
My experience in running my own businesses since a very early age and having different types of clients of all sizes allows me nowadays to have a broad view of how companies work and how to be useful in different levels and departments. Having a technical background due to my degree in telecommunications engineering along with my experience allows me to understand how CG productions work and how to use resources better.
Learning, dedication, perseverance, curiosity, self-improvement, passion, humor… those and some more concepts could define my attitude towards work and life. I love movies, video games, documentaries, animation, music, photography, and I try to make a living combining what I love and what I find interesting.
I’ve been focused in the past years in learning and applying knowledge in:
– Business development, business strategy and management
– Business process improvement
– CG and VFX Production and management
– Client management
– Pitching, Scheduling, Budgeting, Negotiating
– Leading and managing the teams I assembly and recruit.
– I am also interested in business communication and marketing.
